Hi All,

I subscribed to sewaholic patterns email list a while back and an email about this lovely Cordova Jacket popped up.

Wow, so feminine and looks like it fits beautifully. Can’t to purchase this!

Plus there are quite a few other patterns I’d like to try (this is the ninth pattern Tasia has made).

Like this Cambie Dress!

Baby Cardy: Completed!

Posted in Knitting, Miscellaneous, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 25, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I have finally completed the pink and purple cardigan I have been knitting for a friend at work.

Here are some lovely professional photographs (not really).

Dummy Buttons

My mom  S gave me the great idea of knitting a long stem (ribbon) to match the borders of this cardigan, she was making stems for flowers she found in a book she brought.

Knitted ribbon, bow detail

Threading of said knitted ribbon.

Relieved I have finished this now… on to the next one!

Brier Toque

Hi All,

I have been knitting slouch hat (that’s what I call it) but the title of this post is what it’s called in the book.

Here’s what I have done so far:

Here is a photo in the book:

This is a new knitted gift for myself for once, before I start on the christmas presents!

Unfinished Cardy

Posted in Knitting, Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , , , , on November 19, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

Not long sewn up one side of this cardigan here.

Colour Clash!

My mom brought me these dummy buttons to attach later, they are too big for the buttonholes but I’ve broken them in.

The picot (the holes across the chest section) are where a ribbon should be threaded through, but instead of that I’ll be knitting one. I’ve done this for the matching bootees.

I should start on the scarf soon as I have pretty much done all the pieces for the cardigan.

Hope you are all being creative!

Cup Cake Cushion

Posted in Miscellaneous, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , on November 11, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I wanted to show you a small sewing project I did earlier this year.

Pin cushion

I was going to buy one but then I thought ” I could just make one from scrap fabric”…. so I did.

I made a jumbo pin cushion and got the pattern/idea from a book I got last Christmas. You can just cut out two big squares and sew them together and stuff with wading!

Spiked Collar Dress

Posted in Miscellaneous, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 10, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I decided to wear this dress I made a while ago, shown in my spiked collar post.

Bad photo, good pose?

The sleeves are tight around the elbow area but I can handle that, may adjust at a later date.

My boyfriend Jason said I could only wear this at Halloween but I beg to differ. Most days are dress up days for me anyway!

Oh the dress is the same pattern I used to make the two dresses for my mom, don’t think I’ll ever stop using it!

Work Skirt Outfit

Posted in Miscellaneous, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 4, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I finally put a zip in the skirt I posted about a while ago, I was fretting over what top to wear with it. In the end I went with my System Of A Down T-shirt.

Try to excuse the bath attire!

I think it turned out well, I like high waisted skirts and wanted to buy a pencil one. Then I thought “why not sew one?”

After looking at the T shirt I might have a look to see if I can get some metal/rock band fabric to make a skirt with.
