Hi All,

I realise that I do late night posts now but it’s the only time I can get on a laptop!

I decided to sew multiple garments since I have bundles and bundles of fabric and projects to do.

Here are some photos to feast on.

Birthday/Saints Row Cardigan

Posted in Knitting, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 18, 2013 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

As you my have guessed, I’m onto  another knitting project. I’ve called it my Birthday Cardigan as I started it on my birthday (15/02/1990) and Saints Row because it is one of my favouritest games EVER!

I’m using the same pattern as my Rockstar cardigan but with a v neck and longer sleeves.

I own the game Saints Row The Third (SR3), with is similar to Grand Theft Auto but the a gang mentality the further you progress with the game.

The colour theme for SR3 is black and purple, so when I was knitting with those colours I thought why not do some cosplay!

All I have to do it find or figure out how to make a SR3 badge or applique.

By the way, here is a clearer photo of my Rockstar cardigan.

Big Softie Jumper

Posted in Knitting, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 11, 2013 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

My mom went to a wool shop in Bournville and was so impressed she wanted me to have a look.

I can’t rememeber the name of it now but they had a lot of wool I haven’t seen before and cute buttons.

Anyway I came across this yarn called Big Softie, it came in black and purple (which are my favourite colours) and it did live up to it’s name.

Here’s the jumper I made from it.

The neckline will need stitching up.

Spikey!

The studs I pinned on are from the bracelet in this post, I’m not sure if I should keep it like this or  just halfway down the chest.

Suggestions would be great, I’d like to knit another one in black and sew pom poms on it.

Hi All,

I have been a busy with a few projects and learning new skills like knitting with five double pointed needles.

Well I have finally knitted my own cardy (I apologise for crappy photo).

I'll get a better pic when I charge my camera.

I made sure it had pockets as I don’t like garments without them.

I think the buttons I used fit the name, don’t you think?

They come in silver too (this skull is gold)

I may do a long sleeved version next.

Gameboy Jumper

Posted in Knitting, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 3, 2013 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I had fun knitting a Gameboy themed jumper for X, she game made and came up with the idea.

I just needed a plain simple jumper to work on.

Pieces were knitted using 15mm needles.

Pieces were knitted using 15mm needles.

As I used chunky (Big Fab) wool on large needles, it only took me most of a day to knit all the pieces.

X was adamant on the colours.

All I have to make now are the little start and select buttons.

I think it’d be cute if she got badges/brooches to pin in the “screen” and change them whenever she wanted.

This is the first time I have appliquéd onto a jumper so it’s slightly wonky, X can fix it into position when she wheres it.

I’ve noticed I have been a few gaming themes lately… cool!
