Hi All,

I said I’d do a Charizard Pokemon and I have (the joy I have in my heart), so this time I’ll show the progress of this cross stitch.

Here’s the finished piece.

Charizard 4

Very colourful I think. It was fun to do, so much so that I wanted to do more cross stitching.

Here are the follow up photos.

Rainbow Arms

Hi All,

I knitted myself a cute cardigan with quarter length sleeves. I know, “what’s the point in having short sleeves on a cardigan?”. It’s cute that’s why, your opinion is invalid!

I got the pattern from the same book I knitted this, it’s the fourth picture on the book. I wanted something really different and no one would have, so I made contrast sleeves and borders.

Photo time!

Blastoise & Pikachu

Posted in Cross Stitching, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 22, 2013 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

After my Venusaur cross stitch I did two more and I realised that I haven’t shown them here, so here you go!

Blastoise

This took a while as there are more colours, it was still fun to make.

Pikachu

This one was quick to do, I want to make another in a different position.

I’m currently looking for some decent frames for them.

If you’re interested in making own threaded Pokemon, you can choose from plenty here

I’m waiting on threads to make Charizard next, so there’ll be more Pokemon!

Grey Haired Cardigan

Posted in Knitting, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 15, 2013 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I was given the task to knit I fine, mohair type cardigan for my mom as she was having a bit of trouble with it.

I’m working on the borders now but I have photos of the pieces sown together.

FYI: I named it the Grey Haired Cardigan because I think it looks like grey hairs… simplez.

No button here, a knitted flower comes with this. Or I could use a brooch.

Raglan sleeves! I like making these.

To knit in this hot weather is new for me but I find it calming, especially when I can’t sleep.

Until next time craft fans!

Short Wides’ Aplenty

Hi All,

As you may know, I have a new obsession with the Short Wide pattern. I’ve bought new fabric to make more!

Here are the tops and there details.

It sort of looks like an animal print.

This is the third and favourite top I have made from this pattern. It feels so comfortable too.

I used a a small gathered trim in both side seams.

This top wouldn't fit the dummy so I pinned it on.

My mom says they would look nice as dress versions, I’m just trying to figure out how I would change the pattern to do that.

Off Shoulder Top

I made these tops slightly wider than the original pattern so I can wear them in a off the shoulder style.

Well, that’s four tops made from one free pattern… talk about a bargain!

Oh BTW, heres one of many MMM ’13 outfits. Here’s day 10.

Yarns From Germany

Posted in Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on December 21, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I wanted to share a trade I did with Tailor Fairy (from Germany), she was giving away a lot of lovely wool and I gave her metres and metres of fabric!

I have quite a few plans for them but I am knitting other garments for myself and other.

Heres a gallery of said yarns!

I may make a loop scarf out of this.

Baby Cardy: Completed!

Posted in Knitting, Miscellaneous, Sewing with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 25, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I have finally completed the pink and purple cardigan I have been knitting for a friend at work.

Here are some lovely professional photographs (not really).

Tada!

Dummy Buttons

My mom  S gave me the great idea of knitting a long stem (ribbon) to match the borders of this cardigan, she was making stems for flowers she found in a book she brought.

Relieved I have finished this now… on to the next one!
