Spotted Mini Collection

Hi All,

I have been making dresses for a client and I finished them all! This time I made the polka dot Summer dresses, same style but different colours.

I haven’t made anything like these before but I pretty much knew how to. Figuring out how to finish the armholes and hem splits were the tricky parts (I should have taken close up pics on the splits…damn!)

Here’s my “mini collection”!

This is the first one I made which I used as a template for the others.

I had some difficulty about how I would attach and finish the neck tie. I could have tucked in the edges but I liked the rough-ish look, also the former would take longer to execute.

I made this one longer as my client says it’s more elegant, I agree.

I have a smaller size of this one to finish off, its cute on but I’m not sure if I’ll keep it.

This one is my favourite, it’s cute yet spooky looking, like a middle aged version of Kreepsville. This wouldn’t look out of place at a Halloween party (believe me when I say I can make this work!) I may have to make myself one of these now…

She’s ecstatic with these and she’s planned where and when to wear them already. Yes, I am making more dresses for her but I’m having a little break. I may make the odd thing or two for myself though

Stay busy

Blue Tent Top

Hi All,

I seen this dress on Kollabora and thought it’d be a great addiction to my summer wardrobe. So I decided to download the pattern and draft it, it came up short so I’m wearing it as a top now.

Print Close Up

I’m going to lengthen the pattern for a dresses. I may go for jersey or knits in this, I like sewing with it now.

I made a grey version of this in the material I used for this skirt. I’m not sure if I like it but it’s more my colour than this blue one.

Happy sewing everyone!

Hi All,

If you are into cute Japanese styles, a cute and talented Filipino girl and colourful bows… here’s the place for you

Cryil Lumboy from Dolldelight taught herself to sew as she wanted to make her own lolita dresses as a hobby.

She also promotes several wig companies (which I am also in love with!)

If  you like to see more of Dolldelight, here is her lookbook  Here’s a video for more of an insight to her and what she does

Hope you all enjoy
