Yarns From Germany

Posted in Miscellaneous with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on December 21, 2012 by MontanaDesigns

Hi All,

I wanted to share a trade I did with Tailor Fairy (from Germany), she was giving away a lot of lovely wool and I gave her metres and metres of fabric!

I have quite a few plans for them but I am knitting other garments for myself and other.

Heres a gallery of said yarns!

I may make a loop scarf out of this.

Sooo soft. I'll keep this for something special.

I'll mix this with a different colour.

I brought some fabric today that I can’t wait to use too so I’ll keep you all posted on that.

Happy crafting.

Hi All,

I have been doing a few designs involving star print fabric when I came across this website

http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome

It’s a site where you can create your own fabric as well as buy some that have been created by others.

I wondered onto the skull and anime sections which I have ideas for already.

The green and purple would look nice as a scarf or a handkerchief top.

Here’s a tetris fabric and skirt made with it

My absolute favourite this one!

I could make some many things from this fabric, can you name all the characters here?

P.S. I’ve completed the polka dot skirt I made for my sister, will post very soon!

Hi All,

I have completed a few hand sewn pieces. I always wanted to do a cross stitch skull piece, so I looked on the net and came across this pattern.

Here is how my skull turned out

My x-stitch skull.

Below are some stitches I have attempted for the first time, I’m going to use them as book marks.

The book it’s on top of is where I got them from. Here is a link for the book, http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/displayProductDetails.do?sku=8437066

Hope you have enjoyed

Hi All,

Here’s a large cross stitch I did earlier in the year, it was easy to do and great for beginners.

This was a cross stitch kit I purchased at the Bearwood Market (West Midlands, UK).

I hope you like it!
